Summer Sale at A Fabric Place

If you've never been to A Fabric Place in Mt. Washington, we recommend that you plan a visit, tout-suite! This lovely, family-owned shop is having their annual summer clearance sale through Saturday, July 27th.

As they make room for their latest and greatest new arrivals, A Fabric Place would like to clear out at much of their inventory as possible, and everything in the store is on sale. What's more, if you buy the final 3 yards or the entire remainder of a bolt, it is automatically discounted 50%. This amateur seamstress picked up some nice seersucker and swiss dots for a baby quilt, a bright turquoise brocade for a possible shirt dress, and some solid black felt to block out ambient light for photography.

KICKSTART Michael Bracco's "THE CREATORS"

Mafia member, Michael Bracco of SPAGHETTI KISS not only designs and prints strange, sci-fi apparel, he also writes and draws strange sci-fi graphic novels like NOVO and ADAM WRECK. Recently, Michael has been working on a brand new book project called THE CREATORS and he has been running a KICKSTARTER campaign to get the finances together to print his first full color book.  click on over to see a video trailer on the KICKSTARTER page.

THE CREATORS is a story about a small portion of the world's young population who suddenly develop the power to bring their imaginations to life through their drawings.  This power is simultaneously awesome and extraordinarily dangerous as Creators are only limited by their imaginations and are driven by their emotions.

So go and check it out. If you like what you see you can pre order the book along with some other great stuff like tees, other books by Michael and even original custom made artwork!

Sweaty Eyeballs is coming!!!!

Honorary CCCM member Phil Davis has curated an animation show at local Arts & Performance space The Creative Alliance this Thursday, and Charm City Craft Mafia is a sponsor!! Every penny of sponsorship (plus, half of ticket sales, and all of poster sales) goes straight to the filmmakers in the show, so it's a great cause. Not to mention, the work in the show looks outlandishly cool. We are so proud to be a part of getting great animation to Baltimore. The show features independent and unique short animations from 18 different artists. For a full list of artists involved in the show, and to buy tickets for the screening (July 12th at 8Pm. $5 For CA Members / $10 Non Members), visit www.creativealliance.org. Spread the word- RSVP & invite your friends on Facebook HERE!

Apply for ACC!

Hey, all you fine crafter artisan makers of loveliness!

The American Craft Council Show's application deadline is coming up one month from today!  Y'all better hurry up and apply if this is your kind of show!

Baltimore is home to the flag ship show and it's pretty killer.  It's a very different experience than the Craft Mafia shows, and not necessarily appropriate for all of our typical vendors, but many of you are JUST RIGHT.  It's a great opportunity to do a fancy show, pick up some wholesale accounts, and sell your beautiful, amazing work in February.

You may as well apply for the San Francisco show while you're at it, because San Francisco is a really spectacular city....  You know.

It is.
